YOu have done so much training and been improving so well that 10days off is going to be just what the dr ordered. Followed by a week or two of ramping up, then the taper and then CAnberra. SOunds like a perfect plan to me :)
Yes, have to agree...WT's joke is the best I've heard in a long while! The first laugh I've had today in fact!! Thanks all for your comments & keep the jokes coming! Things could be worse like :shin splints, stress fractures, etc.. Out for 6 weeks then!
I have complete confidence in my Physio & since it's 3 years since I've seen him, I've not done too badly all things considered; having treatment every 2nd day & just 1 strengthening exercise so far & I can use the stationary bike.
No icing needed, 2P; it's not inflamation; heat pad advised & that's much more fun!!
Welcome to the sore butt club LL - it is literally a pain in the butt too! I have physio regularly about every 3 weeks leading up to the marathon to keep it in check. Hope yours gets better soon.
That news is a real kick in the butt Chickybabe. No need to worry as you have done the work and this should freshen you up as you head into the countdown to Canberra. Remember, I need somebody to chase for 50km to help get me across the line.
Ouch. Beware, you may be the butt of some jokes.
ReplyDeleteSeriously though I hope your treatment goes well. I am doing the 10km in Canberra and will be there to cheer you across the finish line.

Very sorry to hear about the injury LL, although the enforced break shall probably do you good!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up, and don't let the Turkeys get you down!
xxxxxxx
I love WT joke!!!

Clairie's right - that was a good one WT. Can you come to the pluvi and crack a few jokes Saturday week?
ReplyDeleteCB, I hope you didn't get that sore butt sitting on the back of the GSX!
Very CHEEKY WT!
ReplyDeleteTake care of the butt but LL! Not the happiest place to ice - hope you are up and back on the road soon ;-)
I hope you get Butter, I mean better soon!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I hope it's nothing major and that you'll soon be back out there.
Good luck with the physio treatment. No doubt you will behave and do everything he/she tells you to.
ReplyDeleteTake care and as much as you want to be out there I hope you enjoy the little break.
