During & Post-Canberra Marathon.....

When anything meaningful, unexpected or exciting happens, I'll post it here.

Today I resumed running after a full week's rest & felt terrific....better than I would have been feeling when this photo was taken by J.White (ACT)!

That's meaningful, unexpected & exciting!!

  1. Looks like the young bloke is straining to keep up with your pace :)

"Ancients" is a collective noun for all runners over 40 - that includes you! However, if we're talking about runners over 50, we could go for "dinosaurs", "fossils", "well preserved", "classics", "young at hearts" or "experienced" :)

  2. Well preserved? I'd rather be "pickled":)

  3. A recovery like that means there may be another marathon or two in you LL. Well at least you should keep it on the table ;)

  4. Great pic LL!

Good to hear you have recovered well. I'm still feeling the pinch a bit. You will have to share your secrets :)

  5. That's an awesome photo LL - you look about half your actual age - in fact don't show that to too many people or they might not believe you really are a W75! You look really young - marathons obviously agree with you! Perhaps you shouldn't hang up those "long distance" shoes just yet!!

  6. It looks like you are sprinting away from that young bloke. Clear proof that you can run out of sight on a bright night!

  7. Congratulations Luckylegs on capping off a wonderful marathon career with another wonderful performance. Like all great athletes you have decided to retire while still in your prime ... a brave and wise decision. But seriously, it is easy to understand your decision. Here I am at 45 feeling like I am past it all. So to think about what you have achieved is just awe-inspiring. You will continue to be an inspiration for me and countless others. And you happen to be a nice chicky babe into the bargain! Enjoy your running. I look forward to hearing about your future exploits.
