A Blogging Break

Until the New Year there's not much happening that's worth blogging about - just the usual training - so I'll give blogging a break untill 2006 arrives!

To all those who have supported me here so faithfully in 2005 - thank you sincerely! I wish you a wonderful Christmas & hope that 2006 will be a year that fulfills all your dreams. My thoughts & feelings for each of you can be best expressed in the words of the song : "You'll Never Walk Alone" (Lyrics Oscar Hammerstein II/Music Richard Rodgers, "Carousel", 1945). We could change "walk" to "run"!!

"When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark,
At the end of the storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone! "

  13. Not a bad idea to give the blog a rest Chickybabe. I am struggling to update ours on a weekly basis. Have a good Christmas and be primed for Beyond the Black Stump on New Years Day. I will be seeing you bright and early to give you a lift.

  14. With CB's Blog having a rest I guess it's up to me to advise readers about her most recent track session:

The idea was to practise the tempo of 800/1500 pace and to not stuff the session by starting too fast! It will help CB to 'run out of sight in a dark 800m race'.

    10 x 200m in 'about 60secs each' (2-3min walk, 10min rest between sets)

    Set 1... 1:08.7; 1:08.2; 1:10.2; 1:03.6; 58.6

    Set 2... 1:05.9; 1:00.7; 59.3; 57.7; 56.9

These were very good numbers - especially the second set, with each 200 getting faster. I will give CB 10/10 for 'amazing improvement in one week' and 9/10 for execution.
