Program : 12km....if feeling good, try for a negative split.
I thought I was feeling good before I started & tried for a negative split....but didn't get one!
Another cool & later start at 9:00 a.m.. Nice breeze & all, but I had an upset stomach for the entire run...don't know why; just one of those things I suppose; cramps & some nausea slowed me to taking walk breaks. Felt bad!
6km out in 52:08.
6km back in 55:05.
An alarmingly slow 12km!
The late start was the problem.
ReplyDeleteAfter rising at 6am you should have resisted the temptation to have that big fry-up breakfast with eggs, bacon, steak and sausages before the run.
Dehydration caused me to have cramps and a bad stomach on a long run a few weeks ago. When I realised that and started drinking electrolytes on the Friday (day before my long run) I have been fine since.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is different though :)
I'm with Ewen...don't scoff all that and then run on a full stomach heh heh :)
