A 'Slow' Run

.....Chickybabe off to Sydney in the morning!!

25 minutes slow, but forgot to do the 'strides' at the end! Oh well.....! Results book from GC marathon tells me I've set a new race record (age-category) for that course! So there really are some other slower runners after all!

Driving to Sydney in the morning with Ewen who will probably drag me out to do the 'strides' in the arvo!

Hot here to day; some clouds rolling in; rain is forecast; I hope it's cooler in Sydney on Sunday....so looking forward to the day!! I need to remind myself that : "As long as I enjoy the run, it will have been a success, no matter the time!"

  4. Must pack the umbrella for our walk. There'll be no 'strides'! We could try some 'backwards drills' - they're good for 1500m runners. Looking forward to a piece of the birthday cake and a coffee!

  6. Have a great day Sunday LL. I'll be thinking of you.

Now, just which age record did you set up there at GC? Was it the 75 & over, or was it the 50-54 as our friendly QLD policeman thought?

  7. Neither of those age categories, minersrun! Just the 75-79yrs; I've got plenty of time now (4 years)to be ready to take on the next age category!!

  11. I noticed that you were the only competitor to break an age group record in that race. As those of us who were lucky enough to see it know, it was an incredible effort of which you should be extremely proud.

Good luck tomorrow. Have a good one.
