The aim was to do 18km with the middle 14 @ the pace for the ultra; it didn't go exactly like that, in fact it was a shite session! First half reasonable except for having to walk the hills; at 12km quads felt like jelly & I walked the last wretched 6km home! A wasted session? I hope not; at least I finished!
Tomorrow, rest; Sunday will cut back to somewhere around or under 40km.
Chickybabe is very disappointed with today's training!
LuckyLegs, please continue to be sensible and get to the start line in Canberra! It has been a tough week or two of training, life and weather for you, and all this things in combination put a great deal of stress on your body. Being away from the computer for a few days I was concerned to read about Mr LL's, I'm pleased to hear that he is somewhat recovered.
ReplyDeleteMost of all, enjoy your rest day tomorrow!
LL, long runs and then also trying to run Marathon Pace sessions is a tough ask. You are doing heaps, more than a lot of others who plan to run Canberra.
ReplyDeletePlease be careful, we all want to see you at Canberra.
