2 to Go!

Well, I'd hoped to get out this morning to do Sunday's missing long run.....and I didn't! Not feeling quite 'up to it'. Instead I'll just get on with this week's programme, beginning Tuesday. I don't think that 1 missed long run at this stage is going to make a difference.....I hope not anyhow!

  1. I'm sure the days off will not harm you at this stage, in fact could even help. Make sure you get well again though.

  2. You will be fine LL, for sure.

  3. It will do you better to have the time off Chickybabe to let your body recover. The important thing at this stage is to get to the starting line feeling good.

  4. Yes, take it easy LL, training your head is the important thing now. Speaking of which, how big is it? I think I can borrow Joy's helmet - it should fit.

  6. Listen to your body LL! We all want you to be at the start line, and the finish line (42k) and the finish line (50k) in two weeks time . . . recovery is so much more important that another long run at this stage.

  7. I know exactly how you feel LL, I've been fighting a cold for 2 weeks now. I know it's a bit early but I'm heading off on holidays next week and will be away for the Canberra weekend - I wish you the very best of luck for Canberra LL. You have done the hard work so enjoy the day. I will be sending you good thoughts on the big day from somewhere in South America. You go girl !

  8. Good luck on your recovery from your cold. Missing a long run won't do a lot as you have many in the bank now, so endurance shouldn't be a problem. Just a few weeks of speed sessions now before the race.
