Track 29.......?

......I couldn't find any lanes at all on Chev's track this morning. The grass had been cut & all the lanes had disappeared!

Lurching around like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, I found traces of white & set about measuring (how accurately?) a start & a finish for :

Program: 4 x 150m @ 800m pace from a running start.

5 x 50m @ 800m pace from a standing start.

I marked a start & a finish but with no lane to run in there were a few inconsistencies both in times & distances.

150m repeats in 45 seconds; 50m repeats in 15 seconds.

This session may have been a waste of time......time will tell!

Drive to Canberra tomorrow, Wednesday; ACTVAC Thursday night & return to Mittagong on Friday.

  1. That photo scared me LL. I thought you'd finally run out of sight during the dark night and all that was left was a little heap of running gear.

    Glad you're still with us!

  3. Saturday night = Trying 3 x 800 at 4:05 pace (on grass)

    5 x 30 second 100s.

The last one began to make things look promising.

  10. LL

The 800 record will add to a very impressive list.

If Ewen ever mentions his pet event the steeplechase change the subject immediately.

    My educated guess for tonight...3.48.7

  11. Aki did well with the pacing.

    First lap in about 1:58.

However the 35 degree temperature at the time, and the humidity, took their toll.

LL finished in about 4:04, disappointed, I heard, but we hope you have another go later in the year when weather conditions are more favourable.
