Windy Weather....

I hope that running against icy gales achieves more than just complete exhaustion, because that's all I felt when I got back to the car & slumped inside as if onto a feather bed.....that was the contrast with outdoors!

Medium long run 1 hour 15 minutes. Erratic heart rate readings - Mr G-armin has had enough of the cold wind too - Avg. HR = 122 (86%); Max = 176bpm which is 119% which means I fell & died in one of the many potholes all over Diamond Fields Road....just like I felt had happened!

Tomorrow, a rest day except for a few drills & strides in the soccer field & then the "march towards Melbourne Marathon" begins seriously with the first of many long runs on Sunday.

  1. You're a brave woman running in that weather LL. I would definitely have come up with some excuse not to.

  2. I've only just had a chance to catch up on your blog Norma. That is a real shame about Gold Coast. I think I would have smashed something if I was in your position. I'm glad you have been able to get over it so quickly. Look forward to seeing you in Sydney.

  3. I can hear the wind just now outside as I type this here in Canberra. Of all the climatic conditions I have faced as a runner, I find cold, gusty conditions are toughest to deal with.
